4.25% rise to attract drivers

The joint industrial council (JIC) for the East Midlands has agreed new recommended wage rates for drivers and other workers in the haulage sector. The agreement, made with the Road Haulage Association and the Transport and General Workers Union, recommends a 4.25% across-the-board increase on all rates.
