Armed forces use scorecard to track trauma stress in front-line troops

British armed forces have adopted a 10-point scoring system to help identify military personnel in need of psychiatric support in the event of a potentially traumatic event in Iraq or elsewhere.

The scorecard system was developed six years ago in the Marines, but is now used across the whole Royal Navy and in certain parts of the Army, as well as in civilian organisations with personnel in the Gulf.
