Bakery and directors must pay £628,000 after two killed in "ghastly" oven tragedy
Two bakery companies, two directors and a manager have been ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £628,000 after two workers were killed trying to repair a hot oven.
The HSE prosecutions followed the deaths from heat exposure of Iain Erickson and David Mayes at Leicester-based Fresha Bakeries Ltd in May 1998.
