Members of the Broadcasting, Entertainment, Cinematograph and Theatre Union (BECTU) have voted to accept a pay and conditions offer, tabled by BBC Resources, that increases the basic pay of the organisation's 1,500 employees by 2.8%, effective from 1 April 2004.
In addition to the headline increase, the deal also includes improvements in job security for new and existing trainees who, from 1 April, will be employed on permanent, rather than two-year fixed-term contracts.
