BEG settles for 3.9%

    British Energy Generation (BEG) has reached an agreement with its recognised trade unions - Amicus, the GMB, Prospect, the Transport and General Workers' Union, and Unison - to increase basic rates by 3.9% over the 12 months between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007.

    Shift and overtime rates, as well as other ancillary allowances, also rise in line with the general award.
