Belgium: Sectoral bargaining round completed

By late June 2007, trade unions and employers in most sectors of the Belgian economy had signed two-year collective agreements within the framework of the national intersectoral agreement for 2007/08.

The normal bargaining pattern in Belgium is for the two-yearly intersectoral agreement to be followed by sectoral bargaining adapting its provisions to individual industries.
