Animal welfare charity The Blue Cross awarded its 400-strong workforce a basic pay increase of 3.1%, effective from 1 January 2005. In addition, a further review of the charity's reward system was carried out, aimed at improving the pay levels of lower-paid employees and addressing regional pay differences.
