BNFL: One-year deal generates 3.5% rise

A one-year pay-and-conditions agreement at British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) has now come into force. Under the terms of the deal, negotiated by the company with the Prospect, Amicus, GMB, Transport and General Workers' Union and UCATT trade unions, basic rates and most ancillary allowances have been increased by 3.5%. Last year, salary rates and allowances were increased by 3.7%, with effect from 1 April 2005, in the second stage of a two-year deal.
