Boots Manufacturing: base rates up by 3%

Some 900 production workers employed at Boots Manufacturing's Beeston site in Nottingham have agreed a pay and conditions settlement that improves basic rates by 3%, effective from 1 June 2006.

Shift allowances rise in line with the basic award to:

  • two-shift - £2,584 a year;

  • two-shift (nine-day fortnights) - £2,325;

  • three-shift - £3,518;

  • permanent mornings - £796;

  • permanent afternoons - £3,183;

  • permanent nights - £4,222; and

  • alternating days and nights - £2,111.
