Castle Cement: rates increased by 3.35%

  • In the third and final stage of a three-year deal - negotiated with Amicus, the GMB and the TGWU - Castle Cement has awarded a 3.35% increase in basic rates to its craft and process workers in Ketton in Rutland, Padeswood in Wales, Ribblesdale in Lancashire, and import terminals at Avonmouth and West Thurrock.

    The deal gives a pay rise based on the average increase in the all-items retail prices index for the September, October and November before the January review, plus 0.75%.
