Chancellor gives green light to tax simplification
The pensions industry heaved a collective sigh of relief as the Chancellor confirmed in the 2004 Budget that the simplification of the pension tax system is to proceed. The main details of the new system were outlined in a discussion paper published by the Inland Revenue late last year.
