COMAH Regulations leave accident rates undisturbed
One year after
they came into force, the HSE admits that the Control of Major Accident Hazards
Regulations 1999 (COMAH) appear to have had no significant impact on the number
of serious accidents occurring at major hazard sites. Even so, the HSE remains
optimistic that the Regulations will have an impact in the medium term.
