Commission: Communication on freedom of movement

In a Communication dated 11 December 2002, the Commission examines the freedom of movement of workers, looking at some of the most important issues for migrant workers and their families. According to the Commission, the main obstacles to full freedom of movement include equal treatment in terms of social security and tax treatment and portability of pension rights.
