Consultation on increasing holiday entitlement
The government proposes to extend the current statutory holiday entitlement to include permanent bank and public holidays and has launched a public consultation on the issue.
Under the Working Time Regulations 1998, which implement the EU Working Time Directive (93/104/EC - EIRR 297 p.24), employees are entitled to four weeks' paid holiday each year.
