Council of the European Union: Council agrees 'key messages' on employment

A meeting of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council was held, under the German presidency, on 22 February 2007. The main business on the agenda was preparation of the European Council summit to be held on 8-9 March - as every year, this spring meeting of EU heads of state and government focuses on economic and social matters - and no pending legislative proposals were debated.
