Court supports Pru pension scheme's policy on increases

Much to the disappointment of its many pensioners, a change to the Prudential Assurance Co Ltd's policy of awarding pension increases has been upheld by the High Court¹. In doing so, the judge, Mr Justice Newey, considered many aspects of the employer's duty to its pension scheme members, in particular the scope of the "obligation of good faith".
