Czech Republic: Unions protest against public finances reform
The Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions (ČMKOS) has called for protests, including a national demonstration in Prague on 23 June, against plans for a reform of public finances announced by the government.
The centre-right government’s reform proposals, which are aimed at strengthening public finances and reducing the state budget, are expected to be put to parliament during the summer.
