Denmark: Private sector bargaining gets under way
In early January 2007, the collective bargaining round began in the main private sector area covered by the Confederation of Danish Employers (DA), whose member companies employ some 600,000 workers. Trade unions are demanding higher wages and better occupational pension schemes, while employers are seeking longer and more flexible working hours.
