A new 12-month deal covering unskilled, semi-skilled and craft grades working in the engineering construction industry has yielded a 3.5% increase on national base, overtime and shift rates, as well as travel allowances, effective from 3 April 2006. In addition, the lodging allowance rises by £2 per night to £27, an increase worth 8%.
