The second stage of a two-year pay and conditions agreement covering unskilled, semi-skilled and craft grades working in the engineering construction industry has yielded a 4.5% increase on national minimum base, overtime and shift rates, as well as travel allowances, effective from 4 April 2005. In addition, the lodging allowance rises by £2 per night to £25, an increase worth 8.7%.
