The government has today formally launched equality action plans, where employers set out what they are doing to address gender pay gaps and support menopausal staff at work.
The equalities minister has confirmed there is still no timeline for when the right to equal pay for ethnic minorities and disabled people will be enshrined into law, as promised in Labour's election manifesto.
Gender pay gap reporting will go ahead in Northern Ireland, but the threshold for employer size remains uncertain, and plans for mandatory reporting of pay gaps for ethnicity and disability have been paused for the time being.
