ETUC prepared to negotiate over Working Time Directive revision
The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) announced in late March 2011 that it is willing to negotiate with EU-level employers' organisations over amendments to the Working Time Directive.
The European Commission has been seeking to amend the Working Time Directive (originally adopted in 1993 and now consolidated in Directive 2003/88/EC) (on the Europa website) since 2004.
