EU Commission: Consultation launched on ‘active inclusion’

On 17 October 2007, the European Commission published a consultation document on fighting poverty and promoting the “active inclusion of people furthest from the labour market”. It sees key role for trade unions and employers’ organisations in this area and suggests EU-level principles on income support and improved access to the labour market.
