EU Commission: Recovery plan aims to save and create jobs
The European Commission presented a “European economic recovery plan” on 26 November 2008, aimed at tackling the economic downturn, saving jobs, boosting demand and restoring confidence in the economy.
The recovery plan aims to combine coordinated national action from the member states with EU policy measures in a mutually reinforcing way.
