EU Council: Conference debates 'flexicurity' principles

On 13 September 2007, the Portuguese EU presidency organised a major conference to discuss the European Commission's proposals for common Europe-wide principles on "flexicurity". The event was the first opportunity for representatives of national governments, the EU institutions, the social partners and non-governmental organisations to debate the draft principles.
