EU: Council debates employment crisis and draft Directives

At a Council meeting in June 2009, EU employment ministers debated responses to the current employment crisis and discussed a number of pending legislative proposals, including the revision of the Pregnant Workers Directive.

The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council met on 8-9 June for its second and final formal meeting under the Czech EU Presidency of the first half of 2009.
