EU Council: Governments approve 'reform Treaty'
At an informal European Council summit on 18-19 October 2007, European Union heads of state and government approved the text of a “reform Treaty” amending the existing EU treaties. The UK and Poland have confirmed their “opt-out” from full, binding application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU.
