EU Council: Laeken Council prepares ground for IGC
The Laeken
Council, held under the outgoing Belgian Presidency, decided to pave the way to
further Treaty reform by setting up a body to discuss the relevant issues. The
Council also stated that the EU was on course to fulfil its goal of a 70%
employment rate by 2010.
