EU Council: Ministers debate equal pay and sharing equality best practice

At an informal meeting on 14 November 2008, EU equality ministers discussed EU-wide common objectives for reducing the gender pay gap and the creation of a European network for companies to share best practice on equality at work.

The informal ministerial meeting followed a conference on gender equality at work organised in Lille by the current French EU presidency.
