EU Council: Ministers discuss equality and family policy

The German EU presidency organised an informal meeting of ministers responsible for equality and family affairs in Bad Pyrmont, Lower Saxony, on 15 and 16 May 2007 to discuss “equal opportunities for women and men in work and family life”.

At the two-day event, ministers debated how equality and family policies can be combined to improve equality of opportunity and social cohesion in Europe.
