EU Council: Ministers reach agreement on European qualifications framework

At a meeting on 15-16 November 2007, the Council of Education, Youth and Culture ministers reached political agreement on a draft EU Recommendation establishing a “European qualifications framework for lifelong learning”. The aim is to make it easier to compare and recognise qualifications awarded in different member states, thereby helping workers to move within the EU.
