EU Council: Progress made on revised EWCs Directive
On 2 October 2008, the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council discussed the proposal for a revised EU Directive on European Works Councils, with strong indications that the Directive will be adopted rapidly.
In July 2008, the European Commission issued a draft Directive repealing and replacing the 1994 Directive (94/45/EC) on EWCs.
