The European Council summit held in Brussels on 13-14 March 2008 formally launched the next three-year cycle of the EU’s Lisbon growth and jobs strategy.
As every year, the spring meeting of EU heads of state and government focused largely on economic and social issues and the implementation of the Lisbon strategy.
