EU: Directive proposed on "intra-corporate transferees"

In July 2010, the European Commission proposed a Directive aimed at making it easier for multinational companies to temporarily transfer skilled workers who are not EU nationals from a firm located outside the EU to branches or subsidiaries in the member states.

According to the Commission, intra-corporate transferees from outside the EU are a very important category of workers for the EU economy.
