EU: Employees to have voice in new financial supervision bodies
As part of its response to the recent financial crisis, in September 2009 the European Commission proposed the creation of new EU-level supervision bodies for the finance sector, in which employees would have a consultative role.
On 23 September 2009, the European Commission issued a package of legislative proposals aimed at strengthening the supervision of the financial sector across the EU.
