EU: Insurance sector social partners agree joint approach on demographic challenges

EU-level representatives of employers and trade unions in the insurance sector agreed in January 2010 a joint statement on tackling the challenge of demographic change, calling on their members to take measures to enhance work-life balance, lifelong learning, and health and safety.

There are official EU-level sectoral social dialogue committees, recognised and supported by the European Commission, in 37 sectors.
