EU: More redundant workers receive help from EGF

Figures issued by the European Commission in September 2009 show that increasing numbers of redundant workers are receiving help in finding a new job from the EU's European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).

The EGF started operations in 2010 and its terms of reference were amended in June 2009 in the light of the deteriorating economic situation.
