EU: New commissioner sets out priorities
The incoming EU commissioner for employment and social affairs, László Andor, said in January 2010 that his priorities will include revision of the Working Time Directive and improved implementation of the Posted Workers Directive.
During January 2010, the European Parliament held hearings with all the candidates nominated by EU Governments as members of the new European Commission, which takes office in early 2010 for a five-year term.
