EU social partners: Car industry unions and employers launch partnership

At a "restructuring forum" organised by the European Commission on 17 October 2007, trade unions and employers’ bodies launched a "European partnership for the anticipation of change in the automotive sector".

The forum, held in Brussels, brought together 200 representatives of automotive manufacturers and parts suppliers, employees and EU institutions, to discuss the fundamental long-term challenges facing the sector.
