EU social partners: Partners reach ‘historic’ deal on flexicurity

The central EU-level social partner organisations have agreed a joint analysis of the “key challenges facing European labour markets”. The document, presented to a “tripartite social summit” on 18 October 2007, includes agreement on some aspects of the contentious issue of “flexicurity”.
