EU: UK accused of incorrect implementation of equality Directives

The European Commission sent reasoned opinions to the UK Government on 20 November 2009, claiming that it has failed to implement correctly two EU employment equality Directives.

The European Commission has been continuing the process of assessing the implementation of a range of EU equality Directives in the member states, and taking infringement proceedings where it believes that transposition is incorrect.
