European Commission issues revised services Directive proposal
On 4 April, the European Commission presented a revised proposal for a services Directive, following amendments to the text made by the European parliament at its first reading on 16 February 2006 (European Parliament votes on services Directive).
The commission's revised text takes on board many of the amendments made by the European parliament and differs substantially from its original draft.
