European Council: June European council
A European council meeting was held in Brussels on 15-16 June 2006 under the outgoing Austrian presidency of the EU Council of Ministers. In the social policy and employment area, ministers discussed migration, the Lisbon strategy and the social and gender dimension of EU legislation.
