European employers oppose changes to Pregnant Workers Directive

In September 2011, EU-level employers' bodies made their contribution to the current debate over revision of the Pregnant Workers Directive, opposing changes proposed by the European Parliament and arguing that the current Directive already provides sufficient protection.

In October 2010, the Parliament gave a first reading to the European Commission's proposal for revision of the 1992 Pregnant Workers Directive (92/85/EEC).
