European parliament: MEPs contribute to 'flexicurity' debate

At its plenary session on 11 July 2007, the European parliament (EP) adopted a resolution setting out its response to the European Commission's recent green paper on Modernising Labour Law to Meet the Challenges of the 21st Century. It supports a degree of modernisation but criticises aspects of the commission’s approach to "flexicurity".
