EWCs: GM Europe and EWC sign agreement to safeguard plants
On 30 April 2008, General Motors Europe signed a framework agreement with its European Works Council (EWC) that guarantees the future of five plants across Europe.
General Motors (GM) Europe, part of the US-based automotive multinational, has 10 vehicle-production and assembly plants and employs around 55,500 workers.
