France: ArcelorMittal signs agreement on anticipating change
In November 2007, management and unions at the French operations of ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steelmaker, signed an agreement on the "forward-looking management of employment and competences". The aim is to foresee changes in jobs and skill needs, develop employees' careers and provide assistance for older workers who take voluntary severance.
