France: Construction and nautical employers cooperate on employee leasing

Under an innovative agreement reached in September 2009, employers in the French boat-building industry, which is facing greatly reduced demand, may "loan" employees to construction firms that are experiencing skill shortages.

French employment law permits an arrangement known as "employee leasing" (prêt de main d'oeuvre), whereby a company temporarily places employees at the disposal of another company.
