France: Court upholds bargaining reform

The Cour de Cassation, France's highest court, rejected in April 2010 a challenge to legislation, adopted in 2008, which reformed the rules on assessing which trade unions are "representative" and thus permitted to engage in collective bargaining.

The law of 20 August 2008 amended the legislation on [Article:98434#7.1 "assessing whether or not trade unions are "representative""] and thus entitled to conclude collective agreements (among other rights).
