France: Employment and skills agreement at PSA Peugeot Citroen
Management and trade unions at the automobile manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroën concluded an accord on the “forward-looking management of employment and skills” (gestion prévisionnelle des emplois et des compétences, GPEC) on 6 April 2007. It is designed to deal with foreseeable changes in the type of work being undertaken at the company – which is in an increasingly competitive environment – and help employees adapt to technological development.
